01Define the fit before adding decoration
A strong private label product begins with consistent measurements. Confirm waist behavior, rise, inseam, outseam and leg opening against the target customer. Fixed, elastic and hybrid waist constructions each create a different surf, swim or lifestyle position.
02Use four-way stretch where movement matters
Four-way stretch fabric is a practical direction for surf, active resort and premium board shorts. Other programs may prefer nylon for a technical surface, peach skin for softness, pongee for lightweight value or seersucker for texture. The selected fabric affects printing, sewing, handfeel and price.
03Coordinate labels, drawcords and packaging
Private label manufacturing can include woven main labels, size and care labels, hangtags, barcode stickers, custom polybags, branded drawcords, cord tips, zipper pulls and logo eyelets. These details are quoted after artwork, finish, tooling and quantity are reviewed.
04Protect repeat orders with an approved specification
The pre-production sample becomes the reference for bulk manufacturing. Measurement tolerances, print scale, logo placement, trims, labels and packing are documented so repeat orders can follow the same agreed standard. Production includes material, sewing, finishing and final inspection stages.
